I was born and raised in a city called Mumbai, better known as Bombay in India. I then moved to Dubai nine years ago with my mother, where I studied the International Baccalaureate system at high school level. I majored in theatre arts and began to write, direct and produce my own plays. I also was my own actor, But i knew i had other interests. As i child, i have always had this flare for art and design and i went on to pursue it with motivation form my mother. By the time i graduated from high school, i was sure of what i wanted to do and where i wanted to be. So, i joined the, American University in Dubai where i earned a BFA in Visual Communication with a concentration in Creative Advertising. I then worked as an Art Director with Team Y&R (Young & Rubicam) in Dubai. I was still not satisfied, and i thought i want to take my passion and talent to another level. I was happy to be accepted by Parsons with a scholarship.
I have come to New York for the first time, and it’s only been a week since I’m here. I hope this
place will stimulate my thinking and enhance my creative talent, as it is so versatile and rich in culture. Two years down the line, I see myself being a successful Motion graphics designer. I have never been so sure of what i want to do and where i want to be. I am also very interested in Digital Video making so would like to explore ways on how i can integrate these two areas of interest.
In my opinion, there is nothing better than making your passion your profession.
